We birded the marina area located behind the Marina Village Conference Center in Mission Bay while waiting for our bus that was going to take us to Ensenada (San Diego Bird Festival) to arrive. We got good looks at this Black-crowned Night Heron sitting near the shore. Temperatures were in the low 60's with sunny skies.
